Prior to joining QCIF, Alan has worked as an Institute Statistician for the Queensland Brain Institute, as a statistical analyst for the Queensland Brain Institute and as a Data Manager for Poche Centre for Urban Indigenous Health.
As an experienced biostatistician, Alan has diverse interests in biostatistics and epidemiology specifically for infectious diseases, neurological degenerative diseases and heart disease with a passion working with LGBTIQA+ and Indigenous peoples.
Alan has particular interest in health informatics and how technology can improve disease surveillance and research.
