QCIF and NCI announce training partnership to upskill researchers in HPC and AI

QCIF is excited to announce a new training partnership with the National Computational Infrastructure (NCI) to provide foundational training for researchers in high-performance computing (HPC) and artificial intelligence (AI), aligned with the National Digital Research Infrastructure Strategy.

Combining NCI's world-class, high-end computing capabilities with QCIF's expertise in research computing education, this partnership is set to deliver foundational training to support researchers in applied computing, empowering them to tackle complex  societal challenges across a range of scientific fields and industries.

Pat Loria, Executive Manager for Skills Development at QCIF, shared his enthusiasm for the new initiative, which expands QCIF’s training offerings to researchers across the country.

"This partnership enables researchers to access and utilise NCI’s cutting -edge HPC facility, fostering high-impact research and groundbreaking outcomes for Australia," he said.

The workshops provided through this partnership are free and open to researchers across Australia.

We are beginning with introductory training on Unix Shell, Python and Git.
