Macarena Rojas joins QCIF

Macarena Rojas has joined QCIF as our new Manager, Engagement & Outreach. 

Macarena (Maca) has more than 8 years’ experience in communications and marketing roles in the tertiary education sector, more recently at the Mathematical Sciences Institute at the Australian National University (ANU) in Canberra, where she provided high-level strategic and operational advice in developing and implementing communications and engagement strategies for the ASD-ANU Co-Lab.

“I wanted to work with QCIF for its reputation in the research sector,” said Maca. “This role enables me to expand my skillset as a communicator and engage with researchers and technologists – especially exciting considering the breadth of research domains supported by QCIF’s digital capabilities.”

Maca recently moved from Canberra, so outside work she enjoys discovering new places in Brisbane, “especially parks and restaurants.”
